Family ReEntry facilitates programs in Bridgeport, CT; Stamford, CT; Norwalk, CT and New Haven, CT as well as in two correctional facilities located in Niantic, CT and Cheshire, CT.
In order to facilitate lasting change in the lives of our clients, Family ReEntry utilizes family systems-based interventions.
The goals of family systems-based interventions are generally three-fold:
1) alleviate behavioral or emotional problems
2) change relationships between family members
3) alter relationships between the family system and larger social
systems
In additional to our therapeutic and psychoeducational programs, Family ReEntry provides case management and referral services under the umbrella of the Bridgeport Community ReEntry Center. We offer assessment, referral, and follow-up to address the instrumental needs of clients, including financial; housing; employability and employment; legal; medical; educational; and nutritional. Clients are referred to local agencies designed to provide for these instrumental needs. Additionally, because the Center is built around the philosophy that psychological health and well-being are necessary to a successful transition and lasting positive change, counselors and therapists will work with clients to overcome any challenges to accessibility and full utilization of these services.
